Why Tonearm Geometry Matters
The primary goal of proper tonearm geometry is to ensure the stylus exerts equal pressure on both groove walls. The Nasotec Swing Headshell
maintains this balance throughout the entire record, ensuring that sound reproduction remains perfectly balanced between the left and right
channels.
Experience more detail, a more natural tone, and superior tonal balance. The improvement in sound quality will exceed your expectations.
1. Superior Tracking Performance
The Swing Headshell provides consistent tracking across the entire record, eliminating the typical performance gap between the inner and outer
grooves.
■Balanced Movement: Two precision-tuned springs create a "well-balanced swing," allowing for flawless tracking from the first track to the last.
■The "Short Arm" Effect: You can think of the Swing Headshell as a secondary, "micro" tonearm. Its soft joint allows this short, lightweight
mechanism to follow the groove vibrations more delicately and with perfectly balanced force.
■Deep Groove Contact: Because the swing mechanism is light and flexible, the stylus can seat itself deeper in the groove. This allows it to track
both side walls with equal pressure, a performance improvement we have verified through rigorous LP test records.
2. Minimized Tonearm Resonance
Most vibrations generated by the cartridge are dissipated through the swing joint, meaning only a negligible amount of vibration ever reaches
the main tonearm.
■Resonance Decoupling: In our comparative resonance tests, tonearms equipped with the Swing Headshell performed significantly better than
standard tonearms.
■Superior Stability: Thanks to the mechanical decoupling provided by the joint, this system manages resonance more effectively than traditional
"one-body" headshells or integrated tonearms.
3. Extended Stylus Lifespan
■Reduced Friction: The flexible swing mechanism reduces excessive pressure on the stylus, preventing uneven "one-sided" wear.
■Cantilever Protection: Because the Swing Headshell maintains equal pressure on both groove walls, it prevents the stylus cantilever from bending
or becoming skewed over time.
